Around Rome – Civita di Bagnoregio, the Dying City

Our American guests like Rome as well as Molise! Yes, it is true. To me it is a perfect match. From west to east, from Romantic landiscaps to “primitive” and lush ones. Just the best of two worlds. If you like travel around Rome, Civita di Bagnoregio is one of those places that cannot be missed. A Medieval Borgo which stands on a tufaceous spur, called “The Dying City”, due to inexorable decline for the increasing erosion of the hill on which it stands. It is connected by a pedestrian bridge to the world. In fact you have to walk with comfortable shoes to reach the top of the village, but once you arrive a well-deserved rest, sitting at the Bar in the main square, tasting a good glass of wine or liqueur, gives you immense gratitude. Yes gratitude! because beauty gives you/us moments of inestimable value.
