- Wash grapefruits and with a cutter remove the yellow part of the peel
- Remove the white part of the peel
- Cut the peel into strips/thin strips and put them in a pan with cold water.
- Bring to a boil and drain
- Repeat two more times the process to remove the bitterness
- Cut grapefruits into thin slices, removing the seeds
- Weigh the fruit and add water considering half of the weight of the fruit
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes
- Combine the sugar and the lemon juice
- Mix from time to time and thicken
- Put the jam into sterilized jars.
- Put the jars upside downand and cover with a tea towel
- Allow to cool
- Store in a dry place
