Grapefruit Marmalade

Instructions

  1. Wash grapefruits and with a cutter remove the yellow part of the peel
  2. Remove the white part of the peel
  3. Cut the peel into strips/thin strips and put them in a pan with cold water.
  4. Bring to a boil and drain
  5. Repeat two more times the process to remove the bitterness
  6. Cut grapefruits into thin slices, removing the seeds
  7. Weigh the fruit and add water considering half of the weight of the fruit
  8. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes
  9. Combine the sugar and the lemon juice
  10. Mix from time to time and thicken
  11. Put the jam into sterilized jars.
  12. Put the jars upside downand and cover with a tea towel
  13. Allow to cool
  14. Store in a dry place

  • 1 kg of sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  •  Water
