Sift the flour and make a wheel or fountain
Put the egg, sugar, extra virgin olive oil and white wine in the middle.
Mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained
Work the dough forming many rolls (like pasta rolls)
With a small knife, cut the rolls into many pieces (the size of a hazelnut)
Fry the dough balls, a few at a time, in plenty of hot but not boiling olive oil until they have taken on a golden color.
Drain with the ladle and lay on an absorbent kitchen sheet
Pour honey into a saucepan.
Place the saucepan over low heat and add the fried balls. Mix gently until the honey has been absorbed.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and with the honey balls form the sweets (see the picture).

It is also possible to put orange zest into the pot with the honey.
