The pandemic is beginning to really settle down and Europe is starting to return to normal.

During the pandemic, Laura and I, of course, kept in touch. We talked about the impact of COVID on each other’s lives.
Going to Europe and Italy from Japan and crossing the ocean by plane, as before, was unrealistic at the time.

But, from around spring this year, life in Europe and the US has begun to return to pre-pandemic levels. Also, I gradually began to feel the temperature difference between Japan and the US. It was at this time that I heard from Laura that a group of American guests had visited Molise.
“I wondered if you could come to Italy from Japan too!”
I was surprised by Laura’s suggestion, but after hearing it, I couldn’t stop thinking about Molise again.
