Timothy and Paul. Rome and Termoli

Rome is not so far from Termoli geographically, but what truly unites these two places is certainly one of the most important figures of Christianity: San Timoteo, disciple of the Apostle Paul. In Rome, one is surprised by the beauty of one of the most impressive papal basilicas, second only to St. Peter’s: the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where the Benedictine monks have been taking care of the tomb of the Apostle Paul for centuries. In Termoli one remains in religious silence when enters the Cathedral where, since 1239, the relics of San Timoteo have been found, coming from Constantinople and found in 1945 during the restoration works of the Cathedral. Rome and Termoli, places united by two Holy friends.
