As exciting as every year, Ndocciata of Agnone is a millenary tradition, majestic, powerful, full of strength, the strength of fire. Yes, fire is at the heart of this exciting pagan ritual; group of people and district representatives participate with fiery “ndoccie” which are nothing but big torches, strolling along the main “avenue” of the town which becomes a glittering carpet.

My American friends prefer to visit Molise in spring when the weather is certainly more pleasant, but the charm of Christmas, the fireplace and the culinary delicacies that winter gives us, are not to be underestimated.

It’s not a crazy idea to visit Molise at Christmas. This year Larry and Jennifer will be with us in Molise in December. The sea, the countryside, the mountains will have different colors, more intimate atmospheres.

A week that promises to be 100% authentic. I’ll wait for you in Molise, next Christmas.
