Rustic Walnut Breadsticks

Instructions

  1. Shell the walnuts and chop coarsely (alternatively almonds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, hazelnuts or pistachios)
  2. Dissolve the yeast with a portion of warm water in a glass.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, extra virgin olive oil, water with baking powder and the rest of the water. Knead.
  4. Add salt and walnuts. Knead for a few minutes.
  5. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes.
  6. After this time, knead the dough and form as many long cylinders as spaghetti.
  7. Place each breadstick with extra virgin olive oil on a baking sheet with baking paper and brush with extra virgin olive oil.
  8. Bake in a hot oven at 180 ° for 20 minutes.
