The “Brodetto” … of the Adriatic Sea.

The “Brodetto” … of the Adriatic Sea.

Brodetto is a traditional dish and each coastal town has its own recipe and its secrets. Along the Adriatic coast the recipes of Brodetto vary from town to town, from region to region, in honor of the reference “Bell Tower”. In all places, the Brodetto dell’Adriatico was a poor dish prepared aboard fishing boats, during the fishing work, or at home, with the less valuable fish that remained of the catch after the sale.

The “basic” ingredients for an excellent Brodetto are always the same, the “method” changes. For example, fresh local tomatoes and peppers cannot be missing, which must be strictly green for the Termolese Chefs!

The best recipe for “the Perfect Brodetto” does not exist. All the variations are intriguing … certainly personal taste can influence the choice and the place … Bell tower apart. Join us for insights!
