INGREDIENTS

  • 600 gr of flour type “0”
  • 150 gr of yeast
  • 400 gr  of milk
  • 7 gr of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 150 gr walnuts
  • 1 yolk
  • 1 teaspoon milk or cream

PREPARATION

  1. Knead at  21.00 pm
  2. Dissolve the yeast with the milk.
  3. Add a teaspoon of honey or malt.
  4. Add the salt and flour.
  5. Knead until it forms a smooth paste.
  6. Let dough rise in a greased bowl of oil and cover with a damp cloth.
  7. In the morning, form the “braid”.
  8. Place the “braid” on baking paper.
  9. Place in a bowl the egg and milk. Brush the “braid” with the mixture.
  10. Make the dough rise for two hours.
  11. Bake in oven at 180°C for 45 minutes.
