Wine and Almond Biscotti

Ingredients

  • 300 gr flour for cakes
  • 150 gr brown sugar
  • 1 glass of good wine (white or red. The red wine gives the biscotti a stronger flavor)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds (or hazelnuts) or anise seeds
  • 1 glass of extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

PREPARATION

  1. Make a well of flour and place in cocoa powder, sugar, almonds and baking powder
  2. Add the extra-virgin olive oil, little by little (could not need all the oil)
  3. Add wine slowly (could not need all the wine)
  4. Incorporate flour if necessary
  5. Work the mixture very well
  6. Form a ball and refrigerate for 15 minutes
  7. After 15 minutes, cut off a piece of the dough (about the size of a plum).
  8. Stretch and roll the dough to make a tube shape. Cut into chunks
  9. Give the desired shape to the cokies: simple dots, donuts, balls, braids …
  10. Put the biscuits in the brown sugar
  11. Bake at 200 ° C for 15 minutes
