While beech leaves begin to color of yellow at the beginning of autumn in the woods of the park you can hear the “roaring” of the male deer; special verses issued during mating, to scare opponents and demarcate the territory.

It is the beginning of autumn with charming landscapes and atmospheres that together with the tranquility, due to the lack of human presence, can plunge into a nature particularly rich in animal and plant species. Early in the morning we waited deer behind some bushes to photograph them in right away. During this period deer can be met easily and even in the small towns of the Park or along roads. The autumn sky is always different as well as the views and the color of the woods.

In the many routes traced by the Park you can meet all the “flavors of the trekking.” The inhabitants of these places have the hospitality and kindness of the people of Abruzzo; small specialties shops can be found,  characterized by authenticity and fragrances of the woods and mountains.
